The Flower Kitchen has been established for just over 7 years and have been in our current premises since August 2017. The shops previous owner traded as a flower shop, which was established for roughly 36 years. Since taking over we have made subtle changes to the building: inside and out. Added fresh, modern stock to both the gifts section and floral arrangements. The changes have been wholly welcomed by our older and newer customers in this close knit community.
We're based in a small Anglo-Saxon and Viking village called Conisbrough in Doncaster. We deliver mainly in these areas Doncaster, Mexbrough and Rotherham. We're also British Florist Association and Direct 2 Florist members, which means, we can send your orders to other trusted florists nationwide and also across the globe.
Our handcrafted bouquets, hand-ties and floral foam arrangements can be made for all occasions, budgets and styles. There's always someone on hand to discuss your ideas and to help bring them to life. From custom designs for special occasions to that personalized tribute for a loved ones funeral. We absolutely love a challenge so, even if you think your idea may be a little on the wild side, get in touch and we will do our utmost best to help.
We source the freshest flowers for our arrangements by ordering direct with growers where possible, we expect our flowers flowers to last 7 days although mother nature may have other plans. Any issues that you may face, please contact us direct so we can resolve and advise suppliers.
How I became a florist and why I decided to build myself up and create a career for myself.
Hello, I'm Anne-Marie the owner of The Flower Kitchen. A very close relative of mine passed away 7 years ago, this was my older brother, who's life was taken too soon. As I was out of work and I needed to occupy my brain to assist with the grieving process. My 2 choices.. Floristry or Cake Decorating. Floristry won and my first piece in college was a funeral tribute and I placed this on his grave, which made me determined to create beautiful flowers for others. I started this by working from my home for 4 years, doing orders for close friends and family until I decided in 2017 to take the next step in opening my own shop. The name "The Flower Kitchen" came from myself wanting to pay homage to my older brother (Mr B Kitchen) and father (Mr K Kitchen) who have both sadly passed away.
All Our Love
